On September 25 and 26 in the Lensic, Santa Fe Pro Musica opens its 40th anniversary season with conductor Benjamin Hochman leading the Pro Musica Orchestra in live performances of Mozart’s mischievous Overture to Così fan tutte and Beethoven’s monumental Fifth Symphony. Hochman will join pianist Anne-Marie McDermott  in Mozart’s dueling Concerto for Two Pianos, K. 365.

On September 25 and 26, Santa Fe Pro Musica goes live and in-person at the Lensic! Benjamin Hochman will conduct the Pro Musica Orchestra and will join Anne-Marie McDermott in Mozart’s playful Concerto for Two Pianos, K. 365. Andrea Cassutt is a long-time resident of Santa Fe, contributing her wide-ranging talents and radiant energy in multiple ways to our community. For the past five years she was the executive director of the Santa Fe Youth Symphony Association, where she provided local students with unsurpassed hands-on musical opportunities and grew the organization by over 50%.We are so excited to have her at our helm!

Upon the the announcement of her new position, Andrea remarked: “I feel deeply honored to be appointed as the Executive Director of Santa Fe Pro Musica as it celebrates its 40th anniversary season. I am excited to join forces with renowned pianist and artistic director Anne-Marie McDermott, as we build on a tradition of excellence and lead Pro Musica into its fifth decade with a shared vision and new ideas. As a long-term resident of Santa Fe, I look forward to this opportunity to serve our beloved community, rich in cultures and appreciation of the arts.”

GRAMMY-nominated Santa Fe Pro Musica is excited to announce that our new artistic director, Anne-Marie McDermott, will be performing Live from the Lensic on Friday, October 16, at 5:15 PM!  The 45-minute online performance opens with a “passing of the baton” from Pro Musica’s music director emeritus Thomas O’Connor to Anne-Marie McDermott. Then Anne-Marie assumes her role as an internationally acclaimed pianist and will perform works by Bach, Haydn, Brahms and a set of variations on Die Fledermaus.
