WOMEN OF DISTINCTION
Now in its third year, the Pro Musica Women of Distinction Leadership Initiative provides opportunities for women engaged in various facets of the classical music industry. This program is generously underwritten by Sallie Bingham.
Anne-Marie McDermott, pianist and the new artistic director of Santa Fe Pro Musica, is an internationally acclaimed artist who balances a versatile career as a soloist, chamber musician, and artistic director. You can find her wearing some or all these hats in Santa Fe; Mostly Mozart Festival, New York; Aspen Music Festival and Bravo! Vail Music Festival, Colorado; and many others.
It is significant to note that Santa Fe Pro Musica is led by an all-woman team of artistic and executive leaders. Co-Founder Carol Redman leads the Baroque Ensemble. Artistic Director Designate Anne-Marie McDermott soon will lead the Orchestra and String Works Series. The entire administrative team is staffed by women.
