On December 29 and 30 in historic St. Francis Auditorium, the Santa Fe Pro Musica continues the season’s musical offerings with performances of orchestral works by the baroque masters. This 18-member ensemble, led by violinist Colin Jacobsen (“one of the most interesting figures on the classical music scene,” Washington Post), opens the concerts with Telemann’s rollicking Burlesque de Don Quixote, complete with musical representations of windmills, donkeys, damsels, and dreams. Pro Musica’s concertmaster Stephen Redfield joins Mr. Jacobsen for Bach’s beloved Concerto in D Minor for Two Violins, and the concert concludes with Vivaldi’s wondrous The Four Seasons.
