In addition to our ongoing operations funds, Santa Fe Pro Musica also has an endowment. The endowment is a fund for contributions which are intended to support the organization by providing long term financial support that will both support Pro Musica in times when our operational budget may need more, such as during a pandemic or other lengthly financial challenge, and also which can provide funding for projects which are anticipated to last over several seasons, such as our Democratic Vistas programs which have started in 2026, or the commissions for composition of new works.
Donations to the endowment are invested in prudent financial instruments which can reasonably be expected to grow over time, thereby increasing the funding available to appropriate endowment objectives and projects.
Endowment contributions can be restricted to specific projects and objectives by the donor, allowing donations to go toward endeavors which most specifically support the wishes and dreams of a donor, within the overall objectives of the Pro Musica organization. These restricted donations allow donors to guide Pro Musica towards the donors’ most cherished objectives.
As the endowment grows, Pro Musica becomes more financially robust, and great new projects will be undertaken.
